Alter Ego defined:  “Somebody's alternate personality or persona; another self”. 

We are the founders of the only dedicated dance studio in Hertfordshire.
We teach dance classes for Adults, Teenagers and Children, covering the levels of Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced.
We run a a high level/standard Leading Dance Teacher Supply service for Street Dance, Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary Dance and Ballet.
As well as the above we also find time to run 4 very well established Dance Performance Companies who between them have an endless list of high profile appearances. These companies consist of 3 Hip Hop/Street Dance Crews (Junior, Varsity and Adult) and a BRAND NEW Contemporary Ballet Company.

We at Alter Ego Dance Company believe that everyone has an inner dancer waiting to come out. Brendon Hansford, Director and Founder has a strong belief that “with the right teachers, in the right environment all our dancers can reach their full potential and beyond”.

Originally we started off as a single Hip Hop/Street dance company back in November 2005 with ages ranging from 11-29. Following this in 2008 we branched out and opened a Varsity company incorporating ages 12-17. Most recently (2010) we have founded the first dedicated Dance Studio in Hertfordshire, opened a Junior Company (ages 6-12) and pioneered the first Contemporary Company to be run by Alter Ego.
