Cristina De Simone’s passion for dance was evident at an early age, beginning her training at the age of three. Twenty-four years later, she is a sought after teacher, performer, and choreographer.
In June, 2008, Cristina received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at York University (Toronto), focusing her studies on dance . science, including injury care and prevention, motor learning, |
pedagogy, and kinesiology; in June 2009 she received her Bachelor of Education from York University (Toronto), specializing in dance. She is also a member of IADMS (International Association for Dance Medicine & Science) |

A truly versatile performer, recognized for her energy and stage presence, she is trained in contemporary, modern, ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and ballroom dance. Through this extensive training; Cristina has been privileged to take master classes with Kevin Pugh, Chet Walker, Tyce Diorio, Hok (SYTYCD), Mia Michaels, Savion Glover, Kimberly Galasco, and Nicholas Kahn.
Cristina has been teaching for nearly a decade both pre-professionally, competitively and recreationally. In her teaching practice, she fosters a love for dance while educating her students about anatomy, history, and the science of dance through a holistic approach to training. Many of her students have gone on to train at Canada’s prestigious National Ballet School and Canadian Children’s Dance Theatre.
Internationally, Cristina has performed in numerous shows, competitions and conventions. In November 2008, she premiered her first solo work “Glorybox” in Women in Dance (Toronto, ON). She choreographed, performed in, and directed two seasons of shows for Wild Water Kingdom; and has choreographed and performed for MAC Cosmetics, Pontiac, and Lancome. In everything she does, she is driven by an unprecedented love for her craft and a strong desire to constantly grow. |
