The idea for Unified was inspired by a London dance event called 'Stylefest', where a discussion forums amongst dancers highlighted the need for the dance community to pull together and support each other rather than promoting the atmosphere of rivalry that seems common place between dance companies and schools. Brendon Hansford from Alter Ego felt that this was an issue that hit very close to home and decided to create a dance showcase with the intention to unify the dance community. Little did we know that a movement was being created fuelled by a collective belief in our motto "Don't talk about the person, Talk to them". We believe that this simple strategy can avoid the unnecessary conflict caused by hearsay, rumours and gossip, helping companies and schools to communicate and work together. (read more)
